Sikkim University, established by an Act of Parliament in 2007, is being designed in such a way so as to make it known for academic excellence and research, for its all inclusive institutional character and a strong instrument of regional development and cross‐border integration. The University is trying to bring in the best practices of academic programmes, teaching methods and curriculum designing from both within and outside India and build modern environment friendly infrastructure.

Sikkim University is looking for dynamic and forward looking scholars to appoint as faculty members in
its Masters Programme in the rank of Assistant Professor in the following disciplines on contractual
basis/deputation:
1. Psychology Studies (School of Social Sciences) – Integrated BSc‐MSc Five Year Programme
2. Law and Legal Jurisprudence Studies (School of Law and Governance) – Integrated LLB‐LLM
Seven Year Programme
3. Physical Sciences (School of Physical and Chemical Sciences) – Two Year M.Sc Programme
4. Floriculture and Horticulture Management (School of Sustainable Development and
Livelihood Management) – Integrated BSc‐M.Sc Six Year Programme

Qualifications
Posts at Sl. No.1‐3 : Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian/foreign University

Post at Sl. No.4 : M.Sc Botany/M.Sc/M.Tech Agriculture/Horticulture/M.Sc/M.Tech
Biotechnology Besides fulfilling the above qualification, NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. However, the candidates having Ph.D degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET.
