Job Description : PSEB is a power generating and distribution organisation of Government of Punjab. PSEB is looking for talented and active young candidates with brilliant academic record to join the organisation on the following posts :
Assistant Engineer (on Training) :
Pay - Rs.7750-1450
Age : 20-35 years as on 01/01/2009
Education : BE/ B.Tech./ B.Sc. Engg. or equivalent in respective discipline
Electrical : 80 posts
Electronics & Communication : 15 posts
Mechanical : 15 posts
Computer Science : 05 posts
Civil : 10 posts
Junior Engineer (Electrical) : 225 posts
Pay : Rs.6300-10700
Age : 18-35 years as on 01/01/09
Education : 3/4 year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 60% or above marks OR Degree in Electrical Engineering OR 3/4 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience as Lineman in PSEB. OR Matric with ITT with experience of 10 years as Line man in PSEB
Sub-Station Attendant : 125 posts
Pay : Rs.4300-7500
Age : 18-35 years as on 01/01/09
Education : ITI/ Electrical with 50% marks and 2 years apprenticship training OR Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks OR Diploma in Electronic & communicaiton with 50% marks OR Diploma in Instrumentation & Process Control with 50% marks.
Knowledge of Punjabi : Candidate must have passed Punjabi atleast upto Matric standard.

Date of birth: 5th of September 1970
Education and Courses
1. Year 10 passed with excellent marks in March 1985.(India)
2. 2 year national trade certificate of electrician under National Council for vocational training India.
3. 2 years National Apprenticeship Certificate of lineman under National Council for vocational training India.
Experience history
I am working as a power lineman under sub-division distribution Jarg. (Punjab State Electricity Board, India) since 20th of May 1992 continuously till now.
My main duties which are being done are given below:
1. Installing, Maintaining, Trouble shoot and repair of electrical distribution system including overhead powerlines, insulators, conductors, lightening arrestors, switches, transformers.
2. Laying of service lines, replacement and dismantlement.
3. Resags the conductor earth wire cable services and erection of energy meters, single phase, three phase, CT’s, PT’s ,power factor improvement system such as shunt capacitor and loses meters.
4. Patrolling of HT (High Tension), LT (Low Tension) lines besides the above repairs and maintenance jobs.
5. I always followed the safety rules and good relationship with seniors, teammates and costumers
