Eligibility
- Students who have secured 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination or its equivalent are eligible. Students appearing for the 2006 examination are also eligible. The age limit is 20 years or below as on July 1, 2006 (22 years for SC/ST applicants). There are a total of 80 seats - with 15% reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST and 5 for foreign nationals.
Admission test
- Admission is based on merit in an All India Admission Test, which will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at centres in the following cities - Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Application
- The application forms are available from 9th January 2006 till 15th March 2006 from the Registrar for Rs.1000/-. You can send a demand draft for Rs.1000 in favour of ‘Registrar, NLSIU’ to the address given below. In your covering letter mention your full postal address with the pin code and the course for which you are applying (BA LLB). Also on the envelope, put in bold letters the course for which you would like an application form.
The last date for submission of completed forms is March 15, 2006.
Past years papers
- The past 18 year’s papers (including the 2005 paper) are available for Rs.710/-. If you wish to obtain the same by post, you can send a letter applying for the same along with a demand draft for Rs.710/- in favour of ‘Registrar, NLSIU’ payable at Bangalore to the address given below.
