National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test
- NIT NIMCET 2008 – Eligibility
Candidates with an aggregate of 60% marks ( 6.5/10 CGPA) in Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized University in any discipline, with Mathematics as one of the subjects both in graduation and at 10+2 level are eligible.
- NIT NIMCET 2008 – Mode of Examination
The NIMCET-08 examination will be for a duration of two and a half hours and consists of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question. Each correctly answered question carries FOUR marks and each wrongly answered question invites NEGATIVE ONE mark.

Admissions are through the National Institutes of Technology – MCA Entrance Test (NIT NIMCET) conducted at national level. The Entrance Test notification is generally relased in February every year. Last date for submission of filled in application forms will be March and the Entrance will be during the second week of May.

NIMCET-08 application is a comprehensive application form for the Entrance Examination and for admission to MCA at any of the NITs offering MCA programme. Candidates need not apply to each NITs separately for admission.
- NIMCET SCORE CARD
No separate score card will be sent to the candidates. The list of candidates called for counseling, based on NIMCET-06 rank, will be published in the websites of all the participating NITs.
