Indian Air Force invites applications for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) from eligible Indian Female and Male candidates for the following courses starting in January 2012 / July 2012 for grant of Short Service Commission(SSC)/Regular in Technical and Ground Duty Branches for Male /Female candidates.
Courses Commencing in Jan 2012
Flying Branch:
a. No.9 Short Service Commission Course (9 SSC)
Technical Branch
a.No.80 Aeronautical Engineering Course (80 AEC) (Permanent Commission)
b.No.52 Short Service Commission Course (52 SSC)
Ground Duty Branches
a. No 131 Ground Dutiy Officers Courses (131 GDOC) (Permanent Commission)
b. No.24 Short Service Commission Course (24 SSC)
Course Commencing In July 2012.
Technical Branch
a. University Entry Scheme (UES-2012) (Permanent Commission)
Selection Procedure:
All Applicants who application have been recieved by due date will be called for aif force common admission test (AFCAT) to be conducted on 2th March 2011 (Sunday) at on of the examination centers mentioned below. The entrance test will be of two hours duraction and will contain multiple choice questions on verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness and aptitude. once finalised the details of short listed candidates based on Air Force Common Admission Test will be displayed airforce career web site

Last Date for receipt of application: 22nd February 2011
Last Date for receipt of application for far flung areas candidates: 1st march 2011
