DRDO Scientist Entry Test (SET) 2009 Admit Card

DRDOs Recruitment and Assessment Centre will be dispatch Scientist Entry Test (SET) 2009 admit cards for the examination tentatively between 20th Aug 2009 – 30th Aug 2009. The information about the candidates with status will be made available 20th Aug 2009 onwards.

Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC) conducts the Scientists Entry Test (SET) to shortlist candidates for the “Scientist B” vacancies in DRDS. The SET 2009 examination will be conducted in 31 cities on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 10:00 hrs to 13:00 hrs.

Company profile: DRDO was established in the year 1956 and today it has come so far. It has more than 50 laboratories which are involved in developing defence technologies in various areas like aeronautics, missiles, instrumentation, electronics and combat vehicles etc.

Job profile: A senior accounts officer will be responsible for managing the accounts and purchasing, budget forecasting and control of expenditure. A SAO will also be responsible for dealing with audit objections and looking after the matters related to pay and allowances, preparation of bills, project costs etc.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 56 years. However, relaxation can be claimed.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be an officer from the organized accounts departments of the central govt. A candidate must have held an analogous post on regular basis or for 5 years in the scale of Rs8000-13500 or 8 years in the scale of Rs6500-10500 and a candidate must have a relevant experience in finance, accounts and budgeting.

No. of posts: There are 5 posts in total.

Pay scale: A Senior accounts officer will be given a pre revised scale of Rs10000-12500 plus the other allowances as per the rules.

Selection procedure: The selection of a candidate depends on the education and experience and performance during the interview.

How to apply: The candidates are required to send applications in the prescribed format. They must send the copies of their certificates along with the applications. All the applications must be sent to Deputy Director of Personnel (pers-13), Room No.226 2nd floor DRDO Bhawan New Delhi -110105.

The last date for the receipt of applications is 15th October 2009.
