No separate score card will be sent to the candidates. The list of candidates called for counseling, based on NIMCET-06 rank, will be published in the websites of all the participating NITs.

MATHEMATICS: ( 40 questions)
Set Theory: Concepts of sets – Union – Intersection – Cardinality – Elementary counting, permutations and combinations
Probability and Statistics:
Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions.
Algebra:
Fundamental operations in Algebra, Expansions, Factorization, simultaneous linear/quadratic equations, indices, logarithms- arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions, determinants [...]

Mode of Admissions
Admissions are through the National Institutes of Technology – MCA Entrance Test (NIT NIMCET) conducted at national level. The Entrance Test notification is generally relased in February every year. Last date for submission of filled in application forms will be March and the Entrance will be during the second week of May.

The question paper will contain 120 multiple choice questions covering the following topics:
1. Mathematics (40 questions)
2. Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning (60 questions)
3. Computer Awareness (10 questions)
4. General English (10 questions)

The NIMCET-08 examination will be for a duration of two and a half hours and consists of 120 multiple choice questions with four choices for each question. Eligibility
Candidates with an aggregate of 60% marks ( 6.5/10 CGPA) in Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized University in any discipline, with Mathematics as one of the subjects both in graduation and at 10+2 level are eligible.
