The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL), a wholly owned Government of West Bengal Enterprise, engaged in the business of Generation of Electricity in the State of West Bengal with employee strength of around 5000 and annual turn over in the region of Rs.5,000 crore, invites applications from Indian Nationals to fill-up the following posts:

01. Dy. General Manager (Engg.)
02. Dy. General Manager (IT)
03. Senior Manager (Chemical).
04a. Senior Manager (P&A).
04b. Senior Manager (P&A)- [Training].
05. Senior Manager (Legal).
06. Manager (Regulatory Affairs)
07. Manager (Import, Customs & Insurance).
08. Senior Security Officer
09. Trainee Executive (Corporate Communication)
10. Trainee Executive (F&A)
11. a) Assistant Teacher in English
b) Assistant Teachers

Others facilities :- In addition to Basic Pay and DA, Grade Pay, HRA/FCA, Medical Allowance, Electricity Allowance, LTC/HTC, Gratuity, Provident Fund, Benefit of Indoor Treatment for Self & dependent in reputed Hospitals, Leave Encashment and other benefits will be admissible as per rules of the Corporation.

Other conditions :- The selected candidate will be on probation, initially for a period of one year and confirm in regular post on satisfactory completion of probation period. Relaxation in age for SC & ST candidates will be 5 years

while for OBC candidates 3 years as per rules of the Government of West Bengal.

Reservation: Reservation of the posts shall be made for reserved category candidates as per the guidelines issued by the Govt. of West Bengal from time to time. SC/ ST /OBC candidates from the States other than West Bengal have to apply as General Candidate.

How to apply :- Typed application in the prescribed format (Application Form to be down loaded from our website), duly signed along with two copies of self attested recent passport size photographs, attested copies of certificates, mark sheets & testimonials and a Demand Draft / Pay Order of Rs.300/- (Rupees three hundred) only, to be drawn in favour of �THE WEST BENGAL POWER DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LIMITED� payable at Kolkata (non-refundable) except SC/ST candidates, subscribing the name of post applied for on the top of the envelop to be sent to the General Manager (HR), Bidyut Unnayan Bhaban, Plot No.3/C, LA � Block, Sector � III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata � 700 098, only by ordinary post or hand delivery to the box kept at Corporate Office. The applicant working in Govt. / Semi-Govt. / PSU should apply through proper channel. The last date of receipt of complete application is 18.03.2011. The management reserves the right to relax the eligibility criteria in case of deserving candidate. Any canvassing will be considered as disqualification.

Mode of Selection: Selection will be made on the basis of performance at the time of interview for post mentioned against SL No.01 and 02. For SL No.03, 04a, 04b, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 11, the selection will be made on the basis of written test and interview only. But for SL No. 09 and 10, the candidates will be selected, primarily on the basis of written test, group discussion and interview. Besides, final selection will be made on the basis of medical fitness test. The Written Test/ Group Discussion/ Interview will be held in Kolkata only.
