AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE / NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST EXAMINATION-2011
HOW TO APPLY:-
A candidate seeking admission to the Examination must apply to the Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 on the application form available on ICAR Website www.icar.org.in or ASRB Website www.asrb.org.in The application form should be filled up by the candidate in his / her own handwriting only. The candidate must write his / her name as it appears in the Matriculation certificate. If the candidate has changed his / her name after Matriculation, necessary document / proof should be attached. A candidate must read the provisions in the Notification for ARS / NET Examination – 2011 carefully and abide by the same. A candidate must fulfill all the conditions of eligibility regarding age limits, educational qualifications etc. prescribed for admission to the examination.
The envelopes containing the application form should be superscribed in bold letters as: “Application for ARS / NET Examination – 2011”.

A candidate must send the following documents with his/her application:-
(i) Crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) drawn in favour of Secretary, A.S.R.B. payable at New Delhi, if applicable with the name and full address of
the candidate written on its back.
(ii) One self-addressed post card duly affixed with postage stamps of Rs.6/- for acknowledgment of application.
(iii) Attested copy of Matriculation Certificate as a proof of date of birth.
(iv) Attested copies of the B.Sc./B.V.Sc./B.F.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. Degree certificate along with mark sheets.
(v) Attested copies of the Master’s degree / Provisional Degree Certificate along with mark sheets and transcripts. Candidates must possess Master’s degree on or before 1st August, 2011.
(vi) Attested copies of the SC/ST certificate issued by the prescribed authority, if applicable.
(vii) Attested copy of the OBC certificate issued by the prescribed authority, if applicable.
(viii) Attested copy of the Physically Challenged certificate issued by the prescribed authority, if applicable.
(ix) Candidates already in ICAR/ SAU /Government services whether in a permanent or temporary capacity are, however, required to submit an undertaking that they have informed in writing their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the examination. However, candidates seeking age relaxation on account of being ICAR/ SAU Employees must attach a certificate to this effect from the concerned Institute/SAU.
(i) Application not accompanied by the prescribed fee wherever applicable shall be summarily rejected. Incomplete or defective applications or unsigned applications shall also be summarily rejected and fee paid will be forfeited. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances. Application must be submitted only in prescribed format given on ICAR/ASRB websites.
10. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS IN A.S.R.B.
a) The completed application form must reach the Secretary, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-I, Pusa, New Delhi-110012 by post or delivered in person on or before 31.10.2011.
In respect of applications received only by post (by post/ speed post) from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba Distt. of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshdweep or abroad, the last date for receipt of application will be 15.11.2011. The benefit of extended time will be available only in respect of applications received by post / speed post from the above mentioned areas/regions. In the case of applications received by hand or through courier service, benefit of extended time will not be available regardless of the place of the residence of the applicant.
b) Candidates should clearly note that the Board will in no case be responsible for nonreceipt of their application or any delay in receipt thereof on any account whatsoever. No application, received after the prescribed last date will be entertained under any circumstances and all the applications received after the prescribed date will be summarily rejected. They should, therefore, ensure that their applications reach the Board’s Office on or before the prescribed last date.
Applications received through Couriers or courier Services of any type shall be treated as having been received ‘By Hand’ at the Board’s Counter.
I) Candidates must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission to the examination will also, therefore, be purely provisional. If on verification at any later stage, it is found that they do not fulfill all eligibility conditions; their candidature will be cancelled / rejected and fee paid for examination will be forfeited.
II) While filling up the application form, the candidate should carefully decide about his/her choice for the centre and optional subject for the examination. More than one application form from a candidate giving different centres and/or optional subjects will not be accepted under any circumstances. Even if a candidate sends more than one completed application, the board will accept only one application at its discretion and the board’s decision in the matter shall be final.
III) In case their claim regarding age, educational qualifications, Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Class/ Physically Challenged, being I.C.A.R. /SAU employee is found to be incorrect, may render themselves liable to disqualified by the Board / I.C.A.R. in terms of the rules of the examination and their candidature will stand cancelled.
(IV) Due care should be taken by the candidates to fill up their application form. No column of the application should be left blank. Incomplete or defective or unsigned applications shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.
V) No candidate will be allowed to take the examination unless he holds a certificate of admission for the examination. On the receipt of Admission Certificate, check it carefully and bring discrepancies/errors, if any, to the notice of Board immediately.
VI) If any candidate appears at a centre/optional subject other than the one indicated by the board in his/her admission certificate the papers of such a candidate will not be evaluated and his /her candidature will be liable to cancellation.
VII) Candidates should note that the name in the Admission Certificate in some cases, may be abbreviated due to technical reasons.
VIII) In the event of a candidate receiving more than one admission certificate from the Board, he should use only one of these Admission Certificates for appearing in the examination and return the other(s) to the Board Office.
IX) If a candidate receives an admission certificate in respect of some other candidate on account of handing error, the same should be immediately returned to the Board with a request to issue the correct Admission Certificate. Candidates may note that they will not be allowed to take the examination on the strength of an Admission Certificate issued in respect of another candidate.
X) The candidates are advised to read the Notification for the Examination carefully before filling up the application form. No request for change in the entries once made in the application form will be entertained under any circumstances.
XI) No request for withdrawal of candidature/application received from a candidate after he/she has submitted his/her application will be entertained under any circumstances
XII) All communications in respect of an application made for this Examination should be addressed to the Controller of Examinations, Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board, Krishi Anusandhan Bhavan-I, Pusa, New Delhi– 110012 and should invariably contain the following particulars:-
1. Name and year of Examination
2. Name of candidate (In full and in Capital letters)
3. Centre of examination
4. Roll No. (If communicated)
5. Complete postal address with code numbers
6. Telephone/Mobile number
Note:- Communication not containing the above particulars may not be attended to.
XIII) No request for change in postal address shall be entertained.
XIV) In case of any discrepancy between English and Hindi versions of the advertisement / information, the English version will be treated as final.
