ISAT 2011 Second Counseling Schedule

ISAT 2011 Second Counselling on 9th July 2011

The second counselling of ISAT 2011 will be conducted on 9th July 2011 at ISRO Head Quarters, Bangalore. List of registered candidates who are eligible for the second counseling is published in our website on 29th June 2011. Registered SC, OBC and PD candidates can have one more chance counselling (Admitted and forfeited candidates are excluded). Candidates are requested to download ISAT 2011 COUNSELLING ADMIT CARD using student login from our Website. Keep watching the website www.iist.ac.in/isat2011/ for future updates.

Please note the following:

The ISAT 2011 counselling will be held at ISRO Head Quarters on 9th July 2011.
The number of candidates called for ISAT 2011 counselling is more than the actual seats. An invitation to ISAT 2011 counselling therefore does not guarantee a seat to any candidate for any course.
Actual admission will be based on personal appearance and verification of documents.

Eligibility for counselling:

Minimum Percentage of Marks in Class 10 or equivalent examination
Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must have at least 70% in all subjects combined and those belonging to SC and PD categories must have at least 60%.
Minimum Percentage of Marks in 10 + 2 or equivalent examination
Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must have at least 70% in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) papers and those belonging to SC and PD categories must have at least 60%.

The venue is located 9 km from City railway Station(Majestic) and Central Bus Station and 35 km from Airport.

Counselling date:

9th July 2011 – Counselling for GEN, OBC, SC & PD category candidates.

Counselling Timings:

0800 hrs – 0930 hrs

Documents to be submitted at the time of Counselling:

Original Pass Certificate and Mark list of the 10th standard that shows age and marks for the eligibility.
Original Mark list and Pass Certificate of the 12th standard.
All reserved category candidates need to produce the relevant category certificate . For OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates, certificate in the prescribed format [format attached] needs to be produced.

General Instructions:

All candidates are advised to reach Bangalore (not Thiruvananthapuram) on the previous day itself so as to avoid delays and to arrive at the venue in time for Registration. Each candidate must be accompanied by at least one parent. Personal appearance of the candidate and parent is absolutely essential for counselling.
Candidates are required to submit the bond[format attached] at the time of Admission. The printed format will be supplied to all admitted candidates at the end of counselling on payment of Rs 100/-.
OBC candidates should produce necessary documents to prove their non-creamy layer status. They must download the “Declaration regarding non-creamy layer status of parents in respect of OBC Candidates” and bring the filled up form duly signed to the venue of counselling.
Accommodation and transportation should be arranged by the candidates themselves.
