The Union Public Service Commission will hold a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination on 19th June, 2011for recruitment to the post of Assistant Commandants in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The Examination will be held in New Delhi. The tentative number of vacancies to be filled on the basis of the Examination will be 21 (General-16; SC-3; ST-2) for the year 2010 and 20 (General-16; SC-3;ST-1) for the year 2011.
2. The Examination is restricted to only certain categories (SI/Exe and Insp/Exe) of departmental candidates of CISF. The details regarding eligibility conditions, scheme and syllabus of examination, physical and medical standard etc. are specified in the Rules of the Examination published by Ministry of Home Affairs.
3. The candidates should apply in the Application Form for this Examination, which can be obtained from the office of Sector IGs, Zonal DIGs and Unit Commander OR downloaded from the CISF website at address: www.cisf.gov.in. In case of any difficulty in obtaining the Application Form, the candidate should immediately contact their Unit Commanders
4. Address and Last Date for receipt of Applications:
All applications must reach the Director General, Central Industrial Security Force, 13, CGO Complex, Lodi Road, New Delhi-110003 on or before 16.05.2011. (Candidates should note that they should not send their applications to the Commission’s office) The candidate(s) must submit their application through their Head of Office concerned within 15 days from the date of advertisement who will verify the relevant entries and complete the endorsement at the end of the application and forward it to CISF Hqrs through their Zonal DIsG by special messenger on or before 16.05.2011. Late receipt of application will not be entertained at any cost.
However, DIG/NZ, DIG/NEZ, DIGAP(NZ) and DIG/AP(E&NE) are permitted to forward the applications received from the candidates posted in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad, for whom the last date for receipt of applications is 23rd May, 2011. The benefit of extended time will be available only in respect of applications of the candidates posted in the above-mentioned areas/ regions.
