Different modes to develop UPK Document in Oracle/ Class 21

UPK provides multiple deployment modes in which instructors and end users can learn and practice and transactions processes. Below you will see that various types of modes in which users will experience UPK during training. Lets discuss the mode one by one:

1 See It : In this mode users are allowed to watch a recording of a transaction being completed with on screen instructions in a simulated system. The user in this mode watches the recorded transactions slide after slide as the document is being completed.UPK is a discrete recorder it is only captures the intended and necessary action therefore it play back transactions with no user errors.

2 Try It: This mode allows the users to practice the complete transaction step by step instructions in a simulated system. The user in this mode performs the actual transactions as per instructions given and practices it until it ful-fill its needs. In this mode the user takes the actions and guides it through the process while telling them what action to take and highlighting the area on screen where action is to be performed. It is not necessary to cover every transaction that the user will need during the class room course, As once user become familiar with the concept of UPK for learning they will be happy to learn further transactions on their own.

3 Know It: In this mode users work independently through each topic with instructions is provided only when an incorrect action is performed. In this mode user work independently on the topics and perform transactions and if any wrong action is performed by the user the instructions is being provided to them. In this mode the user take the test and perform the task independently and if it is not performed well then the user fails the tests.

4 Do It  : In this mode the user obtains on screen instructions for walking through the transaction. It is used to practice in the live training environment and as performance support  go live. In this mode user perform task one by one or frame by frame as it is in live training environment of Oracle, SAP or Microsoft.

User can practice as many times as they want safe environment to practice and there is no risk of failure in training.UPK testing can be used for security access for access to be given  a passing score will be attained by user of each course in the “Know It” mode. The user can accordingly can come to specific script to do any of the modes See It, Try It, Do it, mode or print it mode for the reminder.

For each numbered script

  • Watch the see it mode
  • Participate in try it mode
  • And check your understanding in Know it mode

At any point of time print it mode is also available in user guide for each specific learning path. It is recommended that the user use print it step by step instructions while using know it mode. Do it mode is used with production workspace open. It runs in the corner and step by step instructions for particular learning  subject. The print it instructions may also be used while working directly in production.

There is a repository which is being created in oracle known as knowledge center. The Knowledge center has the ability to:

  • Install Contents and create knowledge paths
  • Create users and Users group
  • Assign user to user groups
  • Enroll users and users groups in knowledge path
  • Use expert advice ask a question review feedback and the notebook
  • Create and use reports

Like all powerful tools UPK it is best used by experienced developers who know how to set up and management development project and how to create a good quality UPK Content. This tool has sync with oracle it will create document for different module. Like Order Management, Manufacturing, PO, and Inventory. The UPK practices of any document make user more friendly and aware of the typical process to handle in real time situation. The efficiency that can be gained across the project is obivious in terms of single recording and development.UPK tool is financially justified from medium to large implementation.
