What is the difference between encapsulation and abstraction ?

    • rhushi .comp.engg says:

Encapsulation means we can cover(encapsulate)datatypes or datamembers of any class .and encapsulation is used for security purpose…….and….
Abstraction means we can abstract the datatypes or datamembers from whole program.(reply me )

    • renuka .v says:

encapsulation is defined as manipulation of the data
abstraction is defined as hiding the data

    • lokesh Tiwari says:

Encapsulation means as the name suggest to hide something . and abstraction means just show only the relevent information. In programming point of view we implement these two with the help of Access specifires.

    • Manoj says:

encapsulation & abstraction both are oops concept encapsulation means hidings internal details from outside word where as abstraction is to change objects behaviour depending upon objects data type

    • hitesh gangwar says:

encapsulation means wrapping all the related or similar data and methods under a single unit,ie.class
      whereas
abstraction means, without showing the background details we are interested in the essential features.
